Attention all young ball players and their coaches!

Are you looking to take your game to the next level while ensuring your safety on the field? Look no further than the Pitch Smart® guidelines from the USA Baseball Medical and Safety Advisory Committee. These widely endorsed recommendations provide age-specific pitch limits for each game, week, season, and year.

It's important to follow the guidelines for your actual age, not just your "league age". And remember, don't pitch on consecutive days or in multiple games per day. Your off days are meant for rest, not serving as a catcher. Also, to avoid overuse, avoid pitching on multiple teams with overlapping seasons and make sure to take a 2-4 month "off-season" where you don't throw.

Lastly, young players, it's essential to focus on proper technique and mechanics, not just velocity. So, steer clear of radar guns or other devices that encourage you to throw harder, and focus on building a strong foundation for a successful and injury-free future on the field.
